Media Film Service supplies Kodak to the South African Motion Picture Industry and has done so since the inception of Media Film Service in early 2000. We stock all the current lines in colour negative other than the Reversal and B/W emulsions. We run a 24 hour operation, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Kodak is available from our three branches in South Africa namely Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. We have also supplied Kodak to various feature Films over the years such as Flight of Phoenix, Shadow, Home Alone, Carmen, The Fall, Yesterday, Poseidon Adventure, Supernova, Dollars and White Pipes, Faith Corner, Country of my Skull and Pavement to name but a few.
We also offer as part of our service several fixed wing aircraft that we use, for equipment support and delivery of Kodak film stock to the
remotest locations all over South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique. There is always a plentiful supply of 400ft loads in our fridge
all year round, however 1000 ft loads are brought in on special consignment which takes about 5 working days. We can also bring special
consignment stock in, which takes about 24 hours from order but a freight levy of about $600.00 applies.
